NY Used Oil and Cooking Oil Rules
New York State regulates used oil under 6 NYCRR Subpart 374-2. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) states that used cooking oil and yellow grease are not regulated as used oil under that Subpart, but are treated as waste oil for the purposes of Part 364 waste transporter permits. That means any company that hauls used cooking oil in New York needs the appropriate waste transporter registration — ask us about our hauler registration and documentation.
